About Stephen J. Cocconi

Photo of Stephen Cocconi 2007The focus of my work is to assist the client, individual or company, to realize their full potential and to express that for their greatest benefit.

I use the No-Fault Communication™ Method to facilitate the redress of conflicts, both intra- and inter-personal; whether the venue for those conflicts arise in a business or family setting.

My life has known great diversity. All of which I utilize as resources in my knowledge base. I draw upon experiences from both the private and public sector for insights related to business and interpersonal relations.

Having worn many hats: educator, writer, supervisor, business owner, counselor, comedian, and facilitator; I have learned that what we say, and how we say things convey only part of what we mean. I am well versed in the terminology of effective presentation and educational training techniques which facilitate the understanding of difficult concepts.

Working with Sage Seminars in the 1980's, established my interest in small group dynamics. Later, I was trained to administer his "Human Element" Series by author and founder Wil Schutz for team building in business settings and for personal development seminars. I worked with Dr Louis Graham of The Stanford Associates™ at the 1997 Essilor Optics Corporation world congress in Chihuahua Mexico, facilitating agreement on difficult cost cutting measures. I molded these techniques into my own company: No-fault Communication™, established in 2000. I see myself as communications specialist and coach because, I am always learning more.

Another communication and persuasion avenue has been integral in my professional outlook. The Internet brought me to work as curriculum developer and trainer for Internet University of America, in Walnut Creek. While instant and graphic communication provides more detail, more quickly, it does not always address the human capacity for interaction. Hence, working with people to identify places where a lack of human contact hinders their productivity rather than enhance it is a key area of my work in web site design and information architecture. This industry led to several other outlets for my services. First, as a subject matter expert (SME) for IGeneration in the area of web site development and project management teaching in London, Chicago, and San Francisco. Then, hired by Los Medanos Community College in Pittsburg, CA I was centrally in the establishment and delivery the online Ecommerce and web design curriculums. This lead to my appointment as Adjunct Professor in Information Systems Management for the College of Professional Studies with University of San Francisco (USF), where I taught Information Project Management.

Over my a professional career, I have penned articles covering such concepts as: the Four Types and Four Phases of Relationships, The Seven Levels of Love & Fear, The Compass Method of Relationship Assessment, The Four Types of Communication Styles. All of these appear as integral parts of the NoFault Communication™ Method.
